November 23rd

FOR TODAY... from Peggy's Daybook

Outside my window... typical November gray

I am thinking... how God has taken our family through fires of life before

I am thankful for... health, safety, security and an ever striving for deeper relationship with Christ

I am wearing... long khaki skirt, dark brown cotton tee and my birdie and cage necklace

I am remembering... that we hardly got any snow last year and praying that is NOT the case this one!

I am going... to be making my homemade coleslaw and cranberry sauce today

I am reading... What In The World Is Going On? 10 Prophetic Clues You Cannot Afford to Ignore by Dr. David Jeremiah...can't put it down

I am hoping... to get the book review up today at The Simple Woman blog...hint, there is a wonderful book awaiting...maybe YOU~

On my mind... the new community forum, In The Space of a Day! Join me HERE

From the learning rooms... heavy days and then break for Thanksgiving and deer season Monday in Pa.

Noticing that... there are many women like me who long for kindred friendship...the ones that truely remain

Pondering these words... "Christ abolished death so completely that even the term death is no longer appropriate for believers. That is why Paul wrote that we should comfort one another with reminders that for Christians, what we call death is nothing more than a temporary sleep before we are called into our uninterrupted relationship with Christ forever." from the book I am currently reading

From the kitchen... 4 center slices of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, coleslaw, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. no turkey here

Around the house... lots of orange, camo and shells readying for hunting season next week

One of my favorite things~ is watching the birds at the berry tree just outside the picture window

From my picture journal...

a last look at autumn

Mmmm...vanilla chai; That reminds me; I have one left and need to buy some more; I like to let it soak in my coffee and then add a little cream to it and maybe a little honey as well...

Peggy, I messed up my link. The first one goes to my old post. I hope you can delete it. Your daybook is always fun to read. Your picture is great. Thank you, Doylene

This is my first Daybook in 5 months...my coming back is timely. Just recently I've been pondering where a semi-retired homeschool mom is to go for an online community. I can't wait to check out your forum.

I love The Simple Woman's Daybook. I'm still getting used to Mr. Linky. I posted my link and then I edited my blog so I thought I had to post my link again but apparently I didn't need to! Anyway, I love the inspiration and thoughtfulness found here. Sorry for my "linky" deficiencies! :)

Hello Peggy! I posted my link, better late then never, eh?

As for the shots - stick to your guns! A parent should have the right to determine what is best for his or her own individual child and circumstances!

Have a blessed week everyone! Kathy

Peggy, you will see my name twice on the list. Sorry about that. I am not sure why my first link did not post correctly. The second one linked correctly. Please delete the first one if you have time.

I enjoyed your daybook. Have a great day.

Oh...do tell about the vanilla chai? It sounds ever so yummy....
to add my 2 cents worth...regarding
the H1N1 shot..I did not get my children vaccinated...nor will I. It is mandatory where I work, but I am not taking it. I don't trust, and don't have a good feeling about any of this...I'll take my chances, and let my body build up
antibodies naturally....the way God made me. Have a great day Peggy....
